Russ Alan Baker has been practicing law since November 2004. He was born in Arlington, Texas in 1974. Russ graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1998. He received his law degree from the S.M.U. Dedman School of Law in 2004. He was admitted to the Bar in November 2004.

Russ began his practice at the law firm of Boyd Veigel, P.C. and focused primarily on handling criminal defense matters, and has tried over 150 jury trials within the last seven years. While practicing at Boyd Veigel, P.C., Russ had the opportunity to begin learning the issues associated with representing landowners facing eminent domain/condemnation proceedings and has been handling these cases ever since. As a result, the focus of his practice has slowly switched to handling eminent domain cases. Russ’s trial experience makes him particularly suited to handle condemnation lawsuits due to the fact these cases are more consistently resolved by way of a jury trial than any other type of civil case.

In 2009, Russ was invited to become a member of the law firm Nordhaus Walpole, PLLC in McKinney, Texas.  Although, his principle office is in McKinney, Texas, Mr. Baker helps landowners facing eminent domain issues across the State of Texas.

In addition to maintaining an office in Collin County, Russ spends much of his time in Central Texas Hill Country where much of his family resides. Russ is an avid hunter, fisherman, shooter, and outdoor enthusiast.
